about Sue Thomas

Hi, I’m Sue!
I’ve had a passion for art since my school days. My love of travel and photography has inspired me to capture countless images of my favourite places, which I often use as reference material for my work.

For many years, I worked in the printing industry, creating artwork and print for a variety of businesses both locally and nationally. Now, I paint from my home studio in North Wiltshire, where I regularly exhibit at local art events. In 2019, I was thrilled to hold a solo exhibition at Corsham Town Hall.

After experimenting with various styles and mediums, I’ve found my niche in painting landscapes and seascapes using pastels and acrylics.
Why pastels? They’re wonderfully versatile and beautifully capture the textures of the natural world.
Why acrylics? They’re quick-drying, flexible, and can be framed without glass, unlike pastel pieces.
