about Sue Thomas

Hi! I am Sue.

I have always had an interest in art, even at school. I also love travelling and photography which has led me to capture many images of my favourite places which I use as reference material.

For many years I worked in the printing industry producing artwork and print for a wide variety of business, both locally and nationally.

I paint mainly in soft pastel from my home studio in North Wiltshire. I regularly exhibit at local art exhibitions and in 2019 had a solo exhibition at Corsham Town Hall.

After exploring a number of different styles and mediums, I settled on painting landscapes and seascapes in pastel. I have chosen pastel, as it is a very versatile medium and believe it can express the lovely textures found in our landscapes; whether it is rivers, downland, woodlands, rocks or grasses, there is no shortage of new vistas to capture.
